Who am I?

Founder, editor and chief tea maker at Little Wing Communiqué
With a decade’s experience in cultural journalism, a decade and half in editing and years of training in Indian classical vocals, I am the founder of Little Wing Communiqué, a writing and editorial consultancy firm.

My prior experience included being Senior Editor at The Asian Age and Deccan Chronicle, where a great day at work usually involved discovering a remarkable fledgling band at a nondescript gig. When not writing about music specifically, I’ve written on other forms of art, culture and lifestyle as well as designed layouts, worked painstakingly on editing assignments.

Yes, I’m that grammar freak who'd correct your diction or peddle needless tips on the art of eating and drinking. Other assignments have included teaching Editing at Sophia College for three years, helping S. Hussain Zaidi with the editing of his book Dongri to Dubai and offering Creative Consultancy to True School of Music. I was part of Deccan Chronicle, Chennai’s launch team in 2005 and in 2013 I became a fellow at the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Institute of Cultural Journalism, Colombia.
